A public benchmark dashboard that measures the performance and memory allocation of .NET object mapping libraries using BenchmarkDotNet. The results are automatically refreshed every 5 minutes, and library versions are updated automatically so they always reflect the latest releases. ## Libraries compared - **AutoMapper** — the most popular convention-based mapper - **Mapperly** — source-generator mapper, typically the fastest - **Mapster** — fast mapper with a fluent API - **TinyMapper** — lightweight mapper focused on simplicity - **AgileMapper** — flexible mapper with deep configuration - **Manual (LINQ)** — hand-written mapping using LINQ (baseline) - **Manual (foreach)** — hand-written mapping using foreach loops (baseline) ## Benchmark scenarios Each library is tested across four scenarios: 1. **SimpleFlat** — mapping a flat object with primitive properties (int, string, etc.) 2. **NestedObject** — mapping an object that contains nested child objects 3. **Collection** — mapping an object with a collection of 100 items 4. **NameDifference** — source and target have different property names (requires explicit config) ## Metrics captured per run - `mean_us` — mean execution time in microseconds (primary metric) - `median_us` — median execution time in microseconds - `p95_us` — 95th percentile latency - `p99_us` — 99th percentile latency - `stddev_us` — standard deviation - `alloc_bytes` — bytes allocated per operation (memory pressure) ## How the pipeline works 1. A VPS runs BenchmarkDotNet benchmarks every 5 minutes 2. Each run produces a full result set for all libraries and scenarios 3. Results are averaged over the last 50 runs to reduce noise and outliers 4. Library NuGet package versions are automatically bumped to the latest stable release 5.
